AI is powerful but can be misused. If you train a human detection algorithm and only show the algorithm images of people with blonde hair that system could fail to recognize a user with brown hair which means that if they see someone with brown hair they will think that it is not a human. Because it only gives answers based on the information it has.
How is AI going to affect the world in the future?
AI is making considerable strides in healthcare, transportation, education, financing, marketing, and more. AI is able to automate dangerous tasks that humans would normally have to do that would risk their lives also they could tailor lessons, assessments, and materials to each student's needs and abilities.
How was AI used before today's AI?
At one time people really only associated AI with science fiction movies. After that only mathematicians and scientists gave much more thought into it than other people. But now it's playing more primary roles that were impossible and unimaginable in the past.
How is AI becoming dangerous in our lives?
Today's AI systems influence human decision making at multiple levels from viewing habits to purchasing decisions. From political opinions to social values. This means that humans will be relying on AI for everything and won't be able to think for themselves. Also it will lower human communication and then everyone stays by themselves and doesn't want to listen to others which can lead to loneliness which could eventually lead to depression in the future.
How can we be able to live with AI without it negatively impacting us?
One thing that we could do to stop being negatively impacted is to not use it as much, if we stop trusting AI and relying on it for everything then we will still have self awareness and it wouldn't be able to impact our lives.
How was AI planned and how was the idea made?
AI was planned with goal directed behavior, which means that it mainly focuses on behaviors that will lead to victory of towards your goal. Search plays a key role, for example, in chess playing programs such as Deep Blue, in deciding a move or behavior that will ultimately win you the game.
How can AI help humans with their everyday life?
Artificial intelligence can help young children and children in rehab regain the ability to walk. Autonomous vehicles can increase mobility. Artificial intelligence makes people have a better quality life. AI arms can help people with disabilities and mobile wheelchairs.
How many different types of AI will there be in the future and how will we use them?
Narrow AI is designed just for a specific task and sets of tasks. General AI is able to learn and apply knowledge across a large range of tasks. Reactive AI makes decisions based solely on current situations and inputs without using past experiences. Limited memory AI can use data and information from the recent past to make immediate decisions and improve responses. Self aware AI hypothetical AI with human like consciousness and self awareness that understands its own existence and condition in the world. Overall there will be 5 total types of AI in the near future.
Why was AI created and what did it mainly do?
AI was created to help machines think, learn, and solve problems. Its purposes have evolved over time, but the original were practical and scientific. It was also used to reduce manual labor that humans would normally have to do themselves.
