Held at the end of each semester, commemorates the graduation or departure of members from Baylor. We engage in heartfelt conversations with the graduates, following an order from oldest to youngest. Small goodbye gifts are exchanged, serving as mementos of our time together.

Each year during Breast Cancer Awareness month, the sisters of aKDPhi at Baylor University hold a volleyball tournament called _____. Our chapter has hosted this event for the past 13 years.

Baylor Asian Student Association takes the lead in orchestrating a campus-wide celebration known as _____. Baylor aKDPhi contributes to the festivities by presenting an annual cultural dance performance, adding to the cultural richness of the celebration.

Lunar New Year

A biannual event held at various nearby venues. Sisters are encouraged to bring along a companion of their choice, whether it be a friend, significant other, little, or big. Activities range from trips to the movie theater, rounds of mini-golf, axe throwing, to roller skating. The primary reason for this event is to foster enjoyment and relaxation, and encourage all sisters and their companions to bond and have fun with one another outside of class and campus.

With a tradition of 100% attendance, they exemplify the deep commitment among members to each other and their sisterhood's ideals. The sisters of aKDPhi help out the community by cleaning up a highway. We work together to make a positive impact on our local community by participating in a highway cleanup initiative to show our support for environmental care.

This event was open to all Baylor students and faculty and created an opportunity for those who attended to hear different women speak up and tell their stories of success and how they found their identity. Kaitlin Chang, Katrina Chang, and Mykaela Lawson-Ho attended and actively participated in this symposium by creating a mood board defining who they are and what they love about being a woman.

Male contestants from diverse representing organizations took part, answering various questions and showcasing their talents to the delight of the audience and judges.

Annually, Baylor aKDPhi takes part in the Vietnamese Student Association's traditional ____ celebration. We are invited year after year to perform a cultural piece.

Upon concluding their New Member Program, new members are invited to sign_______, a cherished tradition within our sorority. This has been passed down from one New Member Educator to the next since the fall of 1997, contains the names of every sister who has crossed since the beginning of our chapter. It serves as a testament to the legacy and continuity of our sisterhood, adding a touch of tradition and sentimentality to our shared journey.

Mykaela Lawson-Ho (FA22) delivered a presentation to the active house, highlighting the various resources available to students at our university. She stressed the importance of seeking support and preventing burnout during exam preparation throughout the academic year. Mykaela also introduced us to the tutoring centers on campus and Baylor's Writing Center, which offer assistance with essay proofreading and guidance for graduate school applications.

Our executive leadership board members participated in ______ hosted by Baylor’s FSL office at the start of the Fall semester. This overnight retreat consisted of a guest keynote speaker talking about recruitment and retention. There were also leadership games and activities that consisted of chapter leaders discussing new ideas of cross-collaboration and events.

Organized by Lily Nguyen (SP20), to raise money during the pandemic in Spring 2021, the sisters of aKDPhi hosted a digital breast cancer awareness donation drive that lasted for roughly 2 weeks and consisted of fun, entertaining games such as truth and dare, as well as an online yoga workout created by a sister and brought in many people to participate.

Every spring semester, the sisters at Baylor aKDPhi participate in the Asian Student Association's inaugural _______. In commemoration of the conclusion of Baylor's APIDA Heritage Month, the sisters had a delightful meal alongside fellow attendees while being inspired by the words of esteemed speaker, Mr. Sam Louie.
