Alcohol
What does ABV mean when speaking about alcohol? Why is it important?
ABV is Alcohol By Volume. This determines how strong a drink is. A normal 12 oz beer is about 5% ABV while a 1.5 oz liquor drink is 40% ABV.
Can men and women drink the same amount of alcohol and have the same effect? Why?
Men can drink 2 servings a day while a woman can only drink 1 serving. This is because men's stomachs and livers are more effective at filtering out the alcohol.
What is it called when you drink so much that you are still talking and walking around but you have no idea of what you are doing and no memory?
