What do I expect if you (a student) misses a day?
If you know you are going to miss a day beforehand, talk to me about it and I may be able to give you your work so you do not get behind.
If it is an unplanned absence, check Schoology and catch up ASAP!
Can you bring your phone to class?
a. Yes- Ms. V is chill like that
b. No- it is a state law
c. Only when a sub is present
b- please do not put me in a position to have to write you up because of a phone. Leave it in your locker!
(AND I still know if you try to bring phone with sub)

What does Ms. V expect when the bell rings?
Students are all in the classroom (or you will be marked tardy) and have looked at the board for the "Do Now" :)
What is the retake policy?
Optional retake at the end of the 9-weeks. The retake replaces the grade on that unit test. Re-takes for Alg 1 occur in the morning testing room.

What is the bathroom rule / expectation?
Go to the bathroom before class begins. Ms. V will only let you go to the bathroom if she is not teaching / lecturing.
What is the policy for turning homework in late?
50% late credit awarded until that unit test. Once the unit is over, late work will from that unit will not be accepted for credit.

Am I availible during AO for extra help?
No! I help with Spartan Council, so I recommend scheduling a time to meet with me before school OR we can find a time during AO (but it may be a few days later due to Spartan Council obligations).

Assessments = 90% (tests and quizzes)
Assignments = 10% (classwork, HW, skills checks)

Do students ever get to see their tests after they take them & can students take their tests home?
Yes and no
Ms. V tries to grade tests within a reasonable time frame but will only show students their tests once all students have taken that test.
Students can not take tests home. if you want additional time looking at your test, you must come see Ms. V before school.
