Lick It Up! Refers to what watercolor technique?

It is a way to lighten and / or remove color pigment from an area. First rinse the brush in clean water. Then wet the area you want to lighten. Dab gently with a paper towel. Repeat as necessary.

What happens when you add salt on top of wet watercolor paint?

The salt absorbs all of the color pigment in that spot. It leaves a a tiny snowflake of white.

What are the differences between watercolor and acrylic paint?

Watercolor needs water to activate. The more water the lighter the color. You do NOT use white. You can add salt for a cool effect. Easier to clean up.

Acrylic is already activated. You use white to lighten colors. It tends to stain.
