When I was 9 we rented a house and weren't allowed to have cats (what I always wanted as a kid) so this pet was supposed to fill that cat shaped hole. I would pet this animal, even though I really wasn't supposed to, and when he died I dissected him first to see what his insides looked like before burying him in the backyard.
