In the Japanese anime, Weathering With You, Hina is able to control the weather at will, which is why it's raining for the whole film, except when Hina chooses to stop the rain and let the sun shine.
Hina is not able to control the weather at will, she is able to pray to end the rain for limited moments.
In Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, the film begins with Puss losing his ninth life. This leads to him being hunted throughout the film by Death, who has been waiting a long time to take Puss in Boots.
