RD On Call
When an RD is notified of an emergency, significant incident, or crisis, this person must be notified immediately.
Who is the on-call Area Director?

What is quarterly?
You're accompanying an individual to a psychiatric appointment. Name the three things the document says you should bring.
What are Doctor's Orders, information about PRN medications, and a general update about the person?
Cash kept at the program for any one individual may not exceed this amount.
What is $100? Any amount over $100 must be provided by check or electronic transfer to the individual.
An individual is transported to the ER, visits Urgent Care, is involved in a police-related incident, or is reported missing. This person must be notified as soon as possible.
Who is the individual's guardian?
After completing a QUIC observation, the RD should do this with the staff member rather than simply filing the results.
What is review the QUIC with the staff member?
Part time staff should have a QUIC completed this often.
This healthy-relationships assessment is completed within the first 90 days after someone moves in and then every 12 months.
What is the C12 Assessment?
To protect individuals’ money, financial binders and all funds/cards must be stored in one of these two secured locations.
What is a locked desk or locked file cabinet?
A weekend call-out can't be filled by program staff or the ARD. At this point, this person becomes responsible for securing coverage.
Who is the on-call Residence Director?
Give two acceptable alternatives to getting into a power struggle with an individual.
What are giving choices, giving more time, changing the request, managing your own emotions, picking your battles, offering help, or changing staff? Any two accepted.
After a QUIC observation, feedback shouldn't focus only on what went wrong. The RD should discuss what the staff did well and identify this many areas to focus on improving.
What are 1–2 targets?
A person is prescribed Depakote. This determines whether the medication needs to be included in an MTP.
What is the reason the Depakote is prescribed.
At the end of each month, the True Link Monthly Report must be compared against this record to verify there are no discrepancies.
What is the True Link ledger?
After every effort to obtain staffing coverage has been exhausted, this person is expected to provide coverage and may contact the program RD at 6:00 a.m. for relief.
Who is the on-call Residence Director?
An RD is conducting a QUIC and sees a staff member make a mistake that is not dangerous. The RD should wait until this point to provide coaching.
What is after the observation?
Staff should know when a QUIC observation is happening because the QUIC is intended to serve this purpose—not to “catch” staff making mistakes.
What is a coaching and teaching tool?
An individual takes melatonin for sleep. Their MTP should include the medication along with these two additional components.
What are side-effect sheets and sleep data?
This financial accountability procedure must be completed and documented every week by two people.
What is a two-person cash count?
An unwitnessed fall, a witnessed fall with a head strike, confusion, vision changes, vomiting, or significant dizziness all require this immediate action.
What is call 911 immediately?
While an RD may use a printed QUIC for taking notes during an observation, the completed QUIC should ultimately be submitted this way.
What is electronically?
During a QUIC observation, an RD notices that staff are not correctly implementing an intervention from an individual’s Behavior Support Plan. Should the RD add that intervention to the QUIC? Explain why or why not.
What is no? The QUIC evaluates the implementation of universal supports. Interventions contained within an individual’s BSP should be assessed using other appropriate tools, rather than being added to the QUIC.
Prior to an individual’s psychiatric appointment, these three members of the program team should collaborate to complete the Medical Report Form so the psychiatrist receives a comprehensive update.
Who are the Residence Director, Clinician, and Nurse?
An individual makes a purchase using their True Link card. In addition to keeping the receipt with the program’s financial records, staff must also complete this extra step.
