The acronym W.O.W. stands for this; meaning participation instead of supervision.

Listen up! Each leader should create one of these to be performed by their campers during every buddy check.
What is a sound-off?
No clumps at the park! Leaders are expected to cover outdoor space by doing this.
What is spreading out?
I know it's early in the morning, but please try not to consume this morning beverage while you're working AM care.
What is coffee?
You'll want to warn campers about this camp activity at the end of the previous day, otherwise they might show up with no bathing suit!
What is swim time?
This is the name for a group of leaders who are failing to exhibit W.O.W. or what happens to a carton of old milk.
What is clumping?
The duration of time between each buddy check that occurs at the park and during swim time.
What is 15 minutes?
The park has many ways in which a camper could be injured. Staff should stay close and do this before problems occur.
What is anticipate?
Anyone hoping to sign out a camper will need one of these to prove that they are who they claim to be.
What is a photo ID?
Campers are so little and cute! Us tall folk should do this to improve our communication and introductions.
What is getting down on their level?
During Am/PM care, at the park, and at this location are three of the most common areas where W.O.W. can help with structured chaos.

What are games/activities?
You need to collect this piece of paperwork from every parent at AM care, along with important medical information.
What is a PIR?
Forget-me-not! The sign-out table is one of the best places to return these items before the summer ends and we discard them all.
What are lost-and-found items?
One of the benefits of W.O.W. is preventing these occurrences that would otherwise require substantial paperwork.
What is an incident/accident?
Buddy checks go head to head with this process that can help you make sure all of your campers are accounted for.
What is a head count?
At larger centres, it's smart to have campers use the bathroom before and after park time, but if they need to go during, they need a buddy and one of these.
What is a leader?
Better late than never! Someone going through sign in/out will need to write their name in the large box and this information right above it.
What is the time?
If a camper brings three epi-pens to camp, the third one should be placed here.
Where is on their buddy check leader?
A leader might not decide to exhibit W.O.W. in this location where leaders should always be partnered up.
Where is the bathroom?
The signal that initiates a buddy check.
What are two whistles?
An additional reason to be extra careful with campers at the park is a possible encounter with these individuals who are not associated with COB day camps.
Who are the public?
If someone isn't indicated to be an authorized pick-up, a leader can do this in order for the sign out process to be completed appropriately.
What is contacting an authorized pickup?
Most behaviours occur during these times during the day.
What are less-structured times?
