When do we wear pinwear?
Every Monday, and the day after formal meetings. Also at formal meetings, pinwear meetings, banquets, and ceremonies.

How many times a month do we have a formal meeting?
Once a month. We typically follow PIFF (Program, Informal, Fun, Formal).

How many hours of study tables are new members required to do a week this semester?
One hour a week :)

What is the “No Skippy Jar” and the “A-List Jar?"
No Skippy Jar: If you didn’t skip any classes that week, put your name in the jar. One name is drawn at the end of the meeting for a prize! A-List Jar: Same as No Skippy, but if you got an A on something, enter your name!

Why do we say “Alpha” at meetings?
You say “Alpha” if you didn’t skip any classes that week! EXCEPT at formal meetings. You respond “present” even if you went to all of your classes :)

What is Panhel?
Panhellenic Council is the governing body of all sororities at AU. The Panhel Exec, chapter delegates, and Rho Gams are considered a part of Panhel and will all deactivate this summer until Bid Day (except the delegates :))

What do we call the women who are graduated sisters?
Alumni refers to a group of male or male & female graduates Alumna refers to one female graduate Alumnae refers to a group of female graduates So TECHNICALLY, Alumnae is the proper term :)

Who decides who gets “Phi of the Week”?
The Programming and Education department chooses a Phi of the Week every week. Someone who did something extra special for Alpha Phi that week! (If you’re Phi of the Week, don’t forget to take a picture with the plaque and send it to Danyelle for the FB page!)

What does our philanthropy support?
Women’s Cardiac Care, Forget Me Not Fund (given to sisters is crisis), scholarships (so APPLY!), ELI (also...APPLY!), and more!

What are some things your dues pay for?
International Fees, the suite, formal, semi-formal, mixers, sisterhoods, retreats, philanthropy shirts, recruitment shirts (Bid Day), your new member and active pin, and much more! See the sheet Paige passed out at the 3/31 meeting for more details.

What are paper minutes?
When we don’t have a regular meeting, Amanda will send out “paper minutes” (an email) with everything that we would have covered at the regular meeting. They’re important. READ THEM.

What is “Phittest Phi”?
When you work out, snap a picture and send it to Alex Polasky. She will keep track and total up at the end of the semester. The sister with the most points wins a prize! :D
