"I would like to share a time, when through her loving heart, Amber sent a letter to my mother, her grandmother Vivian. I received a call from my mom one day to say that she received another letter from Amber, and with tears in her eyes, she said how touched she was by Amber's kindness."

"During my divorce it was a difficult and lonely time for me. Amber was always good at checking in on me and inviting me over for dinner and just to hang out. It was awesome to know I wasn't alone and I love how selfless and thoughtful she was and is."
Dave
"My best memories are of all the times we drove out to California to visit and let the cousins see each other. We had great times at Six Flags, the beach, swimming, and celebrating birthdays and 4th of July."
Rachelle
"One memory I have with her is always making cookies with her on the weekends."
Piper
"Amber and I developed a tradition where we would always go to Arbys for lunch, then to Hickory Farms to taste the free samples and choose a variety of bulk candy to take to a show. If we had time, we might also hit Sees Candy for samples and Baskin Robbins for an ice cream cone."
Grandpa/Dad/Larry
"When we were little I accidently pulled a bowl of boiling water on my lap and she saved the day. She was there to comfort me and help me because our parents were not home and our siblings were too busy watching tv. She came with me to our home teacher's house and had the courage to tell them that I would be more comfortable soaking in a cold bath at our own home. "
Michelle
"I remember when we went with Michelle on that trip to Southern California. I bought those dumb shoes.....haha We did so much shopping and doing things that our hubby's would NOT like to do. I loved hanging out with her walking around main street at the beach and eating some yummy food while Michelle took a nap!! She will never live that down but we totally knew she needed the rest."
Wendy
"I remember going to a haunted house with Mom and some of the Brizzee family in Idaho. It was one of those haunted houses where people pop out at you. In the haunted house we were all clinging to each other. We would trip over each other and scream whenever someone popped out. I remember that Mom and I were laughing so hard just because of how ridiculous we all were."
Kristy
"I remember she had one friend named Holly who noticed that there was a new street named Holly Court and a street next to it named Amber Court in Gilroy. So somehow these brand new street signs found their way into the possession of Holly and Amber. Not sure how it happened, but it was pretty funny!"
Rob
"When I think of my dear sister Amber, I think of a very creative and caring person. I could sum up her as a determined, dedicated, caring, and creative individual I love dearly. Also, she is really tough - don't mess with her, she'll beat you up."
Mark
"When I returned home from my honeymoon, we had a ton of ham leftover from our reception. I didn't have many cooking skills, so I called Amber for help! She taught me how to make quiche using the ham."
Ronali
I remember, for a class assignment, Amber said would you like to run the mile together. We started running together and after a short time I looked at her, and I said I'm going to run ahead so I can get a good time. In her mind the whole idea of running with somebody was so you didn't have to do it alone. To this day, she'll give me a hard time about how I wanted to get a good time, instead of the company."
Chris
" When she, Jason, and I had the whip cream fight. The moment that dollop of whip cream landed on the family portrait, we all held our breaths from shock, followed by the loudest outburst of laughter imaginable. And then how we cleaned it up so no one would know."
Michelle
"Whipped cream fight. Playing Monopoly and Uno. One-handed egg cracking. Crepe making. Watching Brady Bunch. Lots of laughing!"
Jason
"I remember when I lived with Amber and Nathan for a summer and at night after the kids would go to bed we would watch this silly show called "Singled Out"."
Erin
"We were all camping with the Smith family and I was having a bad day. Without realizing it, I put a plastic water bottle on top of the rack above the fire. After I did that, not only was I grouchy, I was now grouchy and embarrassed. So I started to walk off. Mom joined me and we walked to the bathroom. For the next couple of minutes it was just me and mom, alone in the quiet bathroom, pooping! All we could do that whole time was laugh."
Katelyn
"I love how she would smile when she tried to be serious and scold me when we were little and she was babysitting."
Jason
"When I was going through beauty school, Amber let me practice cutting hair on her even though I knew nothing about curly hair and cut her hair way too short."
Laurie
"I have lots of wonderful memories of Amber over the years. She has been in my life since my late teens. When I think of her I can see her big smile that lights up her face, and her laugh. It brings me joy."
Nicole
"She went to almost all my field trips in elementary school. I was excited to have mom go to them. Every time there was an opportunity for mom to chaperone on a field trip I would ask her. It almost got to the point that my teachers just started to assume she would go."
Trevor
"One memory I have was a time when we shared a room and Amber was sick and threw up in the bed. I helped her get cleaned up, changed the bedding and held her the rest of the night."
