What is SDSU was founded on March 13, 1897 as the San Diego Normal School, a training facility for elementary school teachers. In 1974 we officially became known as San Diego State University?

What is the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union is the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) double platinum-certified student union in the California State University system. This recognition is shared by less than 2 dozen buildings around the world. It uses 40% less energy than other like-sized buildings?

What is the Aztec Mentor Program provides professional mentors for junior and senior level students. This program has been very successful in opening doors to opportunity for our students. Many alumni, parents and friends of the university serve as mentors. They have surpassed 15,000 student-mentor matches and verified over 28,000 internship placements?
What does FAFSA stand for and when can students fill it out?
What is it is very important that all students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, referred to as FAFSA, to see if they qualify for financial assistance. The FAFSA comes out each year on October 1st?

Other than Snapdragon Stadium, what will be built at SDSU Mission Valley and when will it be built?
What is In 2023, we will complete SDSU Mission Valley’s 34-acre River Park, which will include outdoor classrooms, walking and biking trails, recreation fields, basketball courts, a fitness park, and other amenities for students and the community. SDSU Mission Valley will also eventually include a hotel, housing, restaurants, retail space, and an Innovation District that will promote research and provide new educational opportunities?
What is NSPP and what do they coordinate?
What is New Student and Parent Programs is the office we are a part of as the SDSU Ambassadors. New Student and Parent Programs coordinates New Student Orientation programs for incoming students, parents and families. All incoming students are expected to attend. The office also coordinates activities to ease the transition to college and welcome all students and their families to SDSU, such as New Student and Family Convocation, Welcome Week and Family Weekend?
What are Aztec Scholarships, when can students apply and how does it work?
What is in addition to Federal Aid, students are encouraged to apply for Aztec Scholarships. Applications are open from March to August and students can apply as soon as they submit their intent to enroll and obtain their SDSU ID. The Aztec Scholarship application auto matches students to hundreds of SDSU scholarships?

What is the Center for Intercultural Relations is housed on the second floor and is a place where students from all backgrounds and perspectives come together for multicultural programs and formal or informal dialogues.
