How old do you have to be do give a swim test?
Must be 15 yrs or older
You have a parent that won't get in the water with their under 8 for the swim test. How do you approach the situation? Do you still let them take swim test?
You can't let them do the test as it goes against our under 8 rule. Try to educate them on why they need to be in the water and the dangers. if this doesnt work ask for help either from a lifeguard or a perm.
What is considered a hazard?
an unsafe or unhealthy work site condition that can result in personal harm or property damage.
Where are the trauma kits located in the facility?
Aquatic Center Deck, First Aid Room, Gym, Fitness Center, Arena Office, Desk 1

A kid Keeps failing his swim test and really wants to go on the diving board. what are a couple things you can offer to help?
you can ask him to try it in a lifejacket that way he can still go on the diving board. you can also let them know that we offer swim lessons and have fantastic instructors that will help you improve enough where you could pass.

You notice that stuff is being signed off that isn't getting done. How do you approach this situation?
Try talk to them and ask them if they did it maybe you didn't see. If this doesn't work talk to a perm and they can have a chat with them regarding maintenance tasks.
If you need to miss an inservice what steps do you need to take to follow procedure?
Get approval at least 2 weeks prior and explain why, if approved you will still need to make up the inservice by going over it with a Perm within 21 days.
A angry patron is upset with you because of our rules. he is constantly harassing you and calling you names. what do you do?
go to supervisor, and issue an RTL. any abuse of staff will not be tolerated.

How do you deep clean lifejackets?
take about 5-10 lifejackets, put them on the ground beside lifejackets so people can still access them, Spray down with oxivir/peridiem cleaner, scrub them with a rag (this activates the chemical), let it sit for about 5 min, then rinse thoroughly ensure chemical is all gone.
You start getting sick the night before your shift and need coverage. you send a email stating you are under the weather and need coverage. no one has responded but you did email the perms to let them know. Is this following procedure?
No, when not being able to work because of illness you still must CALL IN and speak to someone.
If a patron keeps asking you questions about the facility and you are busy doing swim tests, what can you do so you are still being attentive to patrons?
1. Ask them if they can just wait a couple min while you finish these test and you will be right with them.
2. You can ask an off deck guard to assist, and tell the patron someone will be right out to help them.

Shift lead asks you to add 2 bags of salt into the hot tub while they finish some closing tasks. they grabbed the right amount and just need some help putting it in to the pool. Can you do this?
No, as an Amenity Attendant you are not allowed to handle any pool chemicals.
If you are on break and shift lead needs you for a minor nose bleed, because all other attendants/guards are busy, what do you do?
take note on how long you were on break for and go assist. because we are all paid for breaks we must still be able to assist when needed. That being said you are still entitled to your break, when you finish dealing with the incident let shift lead know you are finishing your break.
