From Detroit, MI and went to Boston University. I was not drafted by a Canadian team but I did play 6 years with the Edmonton Oilers. I was one of just a few African-Americans in the NHL on my rookie season 1996-1997. I also played for Buffalo and San Jose throughout my 14 year career.
