Fire Related Issues
You notice that the fire box in the vestibule is beeping ... What do you do?
1. Check the Fire Box to see if there is a room listed
2. Check to see if there is an actual smoke/fire in the apartment listed
3. Call Commonweal to turn off the Vestibule Box if there is no smoke
4. If there is smoke, follow the fire procedures (call 911, Commonweal, and HD on Duty)
5. Submit work order and IR
Some calls the phone and says that they are locked out of their room ... What do you do?
1. Confirm that they live in the space they are asking a spare for
2. Meet them in the lobby and give them the space key of their bedspace
3. Tell them they have 5 minutes to return it (ensure that they return it) and log it in the Lock Out Key Log
A resident tells you that someone if parking in their underground parking space ... What do you do?
1. Get in contact with the Parking Manager or go to Thea's Office to view the parking roster
2. Verify the vehicle is in the wrong space
3. Depending on the time, you can reach out to the Non-Emergency Police to have them respond
4. Depending on the time, have the resident park on Chippewa Street until the next day
Your resident tells you their toilet is overflowing ... What do you do?
1. Turn off the water if possible
2. Do your best to clean up any water on the floor
3. Call Commonweal
4. Submit a work order/document it in an IR
There is a smoke alarm beeping in 312a ... What do you do?
1. Check the space to see if there is an actual flame
2. If there is a flame, follow the fire procedures
3. If there is no flame, try to move the air flow of the room away from the detector
4. Call Commonweal
5. Submit Work Order and IR
Someone calls saying their outlet in the kitchen doesn't work .... What do you do?
1. Go to the apartment space and check the outlet (it may need to click the test button)
2. Check the fuse box to see if it's flipped
3. Determine how many outlets are not working and if it is a full building issue
4. Submit work order if not resolved
The parking garage door does not close ... What do you do?
1. Go to the underground parking garage
2. Stand away from the garage sensors and wait five minutes
3. If it doesn't close, call the Commonweal number
A resident tells you that their laundry machine isn't working .... What do you do?
1. Go to the scene and check the washer/dryer
2. Check the fuse box
3. Submit a work order if needed
If the Building Fire Alarm goes off .... What do you do?

Make sure to determine the Students with Disabilities are accounted for
Document in IR
Someone calls and says there is a person in the vestibule ... What do you do?
2. If so, call the Non-Emergency phone number and stay around to help police if needed
3. Document in IR
Someone comes to you to ask if they can use the bike rack in the underground parking and wants a clicker for it ... What do you do?
Explain to them that they can't have a parking clicker for that, but they are welcome to use the elevators to move their bikes
