The Ancient Egyptian Government was ruled first and foremost by the Pharaoh. The Pharaoh was the supreme leader not only of the government, but also of the religion. However, the Pharaoh couldn't run the government all by himself, so he had a hierarchy of rulers and leaders below him who ran different aspects of the government.

I was the eldest daughter of their majesties King Tutmosis and Queen Ahmose. When I was young I married my half brother and after my father's death we reigned together for 14 years. My nephew became King upon my husband's death but he was still quite young so I acted as Regent. Over time I gathered support and eventually usurped my nephew's position as King of Egypt. I built myself a tomb at the foot of the cliffs in the eastern corner of the Valley of the Kings. After my death in 1411 BC, my nephew assumed power and did everything within his power to obliterate the memory of my reign. Who was I?

Perhaps the most famous vizier was the first one, Imhotep. Imhotep architected the first pyramid and was later made into a god.

I was the son of Tjahepimeu and when I was young my Father placed me on the throne in place of the rightful king, my grandfather. My grandfather was forced to flee to sanctuary after a short two-year reign. Fortunately for the first eight years of my reign, the threat from Persia was minimal for they were absorbed in their own dynastic squabbles. By 350BC Artaxvires had firmly established himself as the head of the Persian Empire and attempted to attack Egypt. Fortunately he failed. In 343BC Persia, with the aid of thousands of Greek mercenaries, he captured Pelusium and it wasn't long until Memphis itself fell triggering the second occupation of Egypt by Persia. I was forced to flee to Nubia. I was the last native Pharaoh of Egypt. Who was I?
