Describe the embalming process.

Before the body was embalmed, the priest would remove the body’s organs and they were stored in special jars that were buried with the body. Then priests covered the body with a salt called natrol and stored it for several days. The natrol would dry up the body causing it to shrink and then the body was filled with spices and wrapped with long strips of linen. The body was then called a mummy and was sealed in a coffin and placed in a decorated tomb.
