First, all the internal organs, except the heart, we removed. The removed organs were mummified and put in canopic jars. The brain was pulled out through the nose with a hook. Next, the body was packed and covered with natron, and then left to dry out. Then the body was wrapped in strips of linen, put in a coffin, and buried in a tomb. The whole process took about 70 days
