All citizens would come together to be part of the Assembly and could vote on decisions.  They would vote by raising hands (unless they were deciding if someone was guilty or not- then they used coins)

They had two kings and would ask all of the men in Sparta when they were passing laws.  The men would pass laws by making noise.

What did it mean to be ostracized in Athens? 

It meant that enough people voted that you were a danger to the city and you were sent away for 10 years.  After those 10 years, you could return to Athens and try again.

Ares- the God of the crazy, dangerous side of War.  Also he's a man


Athen- the Goddess of the planning, strategic side of War.  She's a woman.

Because it's hard to bribe 500 people by giving them money to vote that you are innocent.  That would take A LOT of money and someone would notice!

They are twins!  Because of that, Apollo is the God of the Sun (and many other things) and Artemis is the Goddess of the Moon (and archery)
