Describe the origins of the Ionian Revolt
The Persians conquered Ionia and forced them to pay tribute and serve in the army. The Ionians asked Greece for help, but after initial success, the Greeks returned to the mainland. As a result, the Persians defeated the Ionians and destroyed the city of Miletus.
