Gilgamesh is a demi-god and king of Uruk. The gods send Enkidu to fight him because he is awful to his people. The two become friends and go on a quest to the cedar forest, killing the bull of heaven. The gods kill Enkidu and Gilgamesh becomes sad, longing for the secret to immortality. He fails on his quest and returns to Uruk to rule until his death.
