Responsible for interpreting the provisions of AOII’s Constitution and Bylaws when requested to do so.
International Standing Committees - Constitutional Interpretation and Revision Committee (CIRC)
Recent alumnae women, hired as professional staff, that travel to our chapters offering enthusiasm and encouragement while serving as liaisons and educators from Headquarters to the college level.
Educational Leadership Consultants (ELC)
An elected volunteer, serves as Chief Governance Officer of the Executive Board (XB). She serves on other committees and boards, assigns responsibilities to other XB members, and ensures that the XB acts with integrity and follows the rules and decision making expected of XB members.
International President (IP)
These committees are all appointed volunteers that assist the Fraternity with specific areas listed below. Their countless hours of volunteering are crucial to AOII’s success.
International Standing Committees
Members of the Council include Chapter Presidents and Chapter Advisors of all chapters in good standing, among other volunteers and representatives. The purpose of the AOII Council is: to be the legislative body of AOII, to meet at International Convention to conduct Fraternity business, and to meet at International Convention to elect the AOII Executive Board and the AOII Foundation Board.
Council
Supports the development of each member of AOII in all areas of education in alignment with the mission, values, and vision of the Fraternity.
International Standing Committees - Education Committee (EC)
Professional staff members that work with Housing & Development Fee Agreements, utilization of Corporation Budgets, Five-Year Plans, House Director applicants, and general day-to-day facility/property-related chapter operations.
Assistant Director of Properties (ADP)
Members who are elected to their offices by AOII Council to carry out the object, purposes and business of the Fraternity like formulating policy and overseeing the direction and strategic development of the Fraternity. Members include the International President, VP of Finance, 6 VPs and the Immediate Past International President (ex-officio).
Executive Board (XB)
Supports the Fraternity through the ownership, maintenance, and management of the Fraternity’s properties while providing safe, competitive, affordable and appropriate housing for the Fraternity’s collegiate chapter members.
Properties Board
Responsible for developing and implementing communications and educational efforts to help members embrace and utilize the basic principles (as expressed in our Ritual) and traditions of the Fraternity.
International Standing Committees - Ritual, Traditions, and Jewelry Committee (RT&J)
Leader of the Professional staff team, the ED is responsible for driving our Fraternity’s strategic plan, matters involving policy, and working closely with the AOII Executive & Properties Boards.
Executive Director (ED)
Creates direction and provides oversight for the FOundation, makes certain the Foundation has the necessary funds to meet its goals, and assists the Foundation in maintaining a collaborative and effective organization. These members are elected to their offices by the AOII Council.
Foundation Board
Have the strategic responsibility for their network and their role includes analysis and careful deployment of volunteer resources as needs and wants are identified. In addition, NDs are appointed volunteers that collaborate with professional staff and one another.
Network Directors (ND)
Cultivates and recruits potential volunteers for leadership positions.
International Standing Committees - Human Resources Committee (HRC)
The primary HQ staff members who partner with network volunteers in supporting your chapter. A few of their responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Standards of Excellence, probations, suspensions, status changes, event questions, chapter bylaws, recruitment recommendations, and execution of chapter action plans.
Assistant Director of Collegiate Experience/New Chapter Development (ADCE/ADNCD)
A volunteer elected by the collegiate chapter. The CA is responsible for mentoring chapter officers and members as well as providing guidance with chapter operations, events, recruitment, and relationships.
Chapter Advisor (CA)
Are appointed volunteer roles that work directly with our collegiate and alumnae chapter. NSs supports chapters by providing guidance on topics like: recruitment, member engagement and relationships, finances, etc. to help chapters grow and succeed. Their roles include: Operations and Programming (NS-OP), Membership Experience (NS-ME), Membership Growth (NS-MG), New Chapter Development (NS-NCD), and Lifetime Engagement (NS-LE).
Network Specialists (NS)
Works in partnership with designated International HQ staff. This counsel advises collegiate and alumnae chapters and network personnel on NPC policies and procedures and serves as volunteers for NPC.
