What is Allegory
The author places a person, concept, place, idea or theme parallel to another. Used to etch out character detail.

Form of literary device that helps to establish a relationship based on similarities between two concepts or ideas.

The attitude an author takes toward the subject of work, the characters in it, or the audience.

A poem consisting of four lines, or four lines of a poem that can be considered a unit.
The author purposefully leaves out conjunctions in the sentence.
Example: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
What is an Asyndeton
Related to works of Old English poetry where the author would use a twist of words, figure of speech, or a complex sentence. Used primarily in old Norse and Germanic poetry.
