Any communication that cannot be directly retrieved by a reader is considered “personal communication.” Emails, phone conversations, text messages, and social media messages are all examples of personal communication.

Any sequence of more than three words without quotation marks +(author's last name, year, page number reference) is stealing work from others and plagiarism. Don't do this.

No, you must provide the complete wording of all acronyms (and the acronym following immediately after it in parentheses) when you use them for the first time in your paper. Every subsequent time you can use the acronym.

The abstract is a brief (150 to 250 words) but thorough description of your problem, findings and summaries. If you performed an experiment, your methodology and findings should be described as well as a sentence or two about your limitations and future directions for research.

Capitalize the first word of the titles and subtitles of journal articles (i.e. the first word after a colon or a dash in the article title)
- also, all proper nouns should be capitalized

- In an actual sentence, name 2+ authors in the signal phrase, using “and” between the last two names name followed by the year of publication like so: Reports by Smith and Doe (2017) state "_____"
