Elder Hans T. Boom of the Seventy from the Netherlands shared how his parents saved up for a long time for this common household appliance. But then the Bishop showed up and asked for a contribution to build a meetinghouse in Amsterdam and the couple gave the money they had saved and continued to do what? (Two questions, what were they saving to buy? and What did they have to continue doing when they donated that money to build a church house?)

Elder Benjamin M.Z. Tai of the Seventy told the story of a friend of his that got a divorce. The man's ex-wife got remarried and requested their sealing be broken. The man felt great resentment. However, he had an experience where he had been praying and he felt the resentment was taken from him. Where was the man when the resentment was lifted?
“We feel God’s love when we do things that draw us closer to Him.”
“When we experience the love of God, we can bear up our burdens with ease and submit patiently and cheerfully to His will.”

“Please know that your every effort matters and, as certain as the stars above us, that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know, hear and love you.”
This Apostle and his wife invited a friend to church and he felt like the meetings were not perfect for her experience. After church he was about to apologize for the imperfect meetings that day, but before he could the person they took to church shared how much she loved the meetings and felt love and kindness.
“Very often a person’s first testimony of Jesus Christ comes when he or she feels love among disciples of Jesus Christ.”

This Apostle is in the First Presidency and next in line to become the Church's prophet. He spoke on the Atonement and testified of our Heavenly Father's loving plan. He spoke of overcoming opposition in our lives through faith in Jesus Christ. He invited us to teach our families those things that will return us to our Heavenly home.
“Just as our physical muscles cannot be developed or maintained without straining against the law of gravity, so mortal growth requires man to strain against Satan’s temptations and other mortal opposition.”

“Our part in this Divine Plan is to trust in God and seek divine helps, most notably the Atonement of His Beloved Son, our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ.”
The final speaker was our Prophet, President Russell M. Nelson. He shared that he recently met a new great grand-daughter and had a great desire to do what for her? Because her future life would depend on it.
“As followers of Jesus Christ, we should lead the way as peacemakers. As charity becomes part of our nature, we will lose the impulse to demean others. We will stop judging others. We will have charity for those from all walks of life.”
“Brothers and sisters, as the world grows more wicked, we need to grow increasingly pure. Our thoughts, words, and actions need to be unfailingly virtuous, and filled with the pure love of Christ towards all men.”
