Embark on a quest to find the Triforce, slay Ganon and save a Princess in the timeless adventure game from Shigeru Miyamoto that invented the genre. Originally released for the Famicom Disk System in Japan, the game arrived in the US on cartridge in 1987. In an ingenious marketing ploy, Nintendo released the game on a gold cartridge, so if you hadn't heard about the game, the shiny cart would definitely catch your attention. The US version also included the ability to save your game status via battery back-up -- a first for the NES. The game's release heralded the end of the days when console games were all about linear quests and never-ending twitch gameplay with small level variations or increasing speed settings.

She wears a white and blue sailor striped school uniform. She is is an extremely kind, gentle, sweet, cheerful and over-optimistic girl who refuses to let anyone lift a finger for her, and at times she gets spacey. She is very loving, and finds things that wouldn't usually be that funny pretty funny. Her lovingness is proven multiple times, usually it is directed towards her mother, and all of her friends. She can be seen as slightly naive too. She is very considerate, and if something happens that would aggravate an average person, she commonly just smiles and moves on. This also proves her braveness, which is shown multiple times - like when she allows all of her friends to go off and have fun during New Year's Eve, and when they come back home (after finding out that this her first New Year's Eve without her mother), they find her crying, and they realized just how brave she really was. Her friends sometimes call her "a pushover."

She is a strong willed woman, and apparently had always been since childhood which is confirmed through her flashbacks. Often considered a tomboy; a very brave, strong and heroic young woman who is not afraid to question the orders of her master if they cross with her personal beliefs. Her devotion to morals and integrity is rather unusual, considering her horrid past. However, she is a loyal and trustworthy soldier who will diligently follow the orders of her commander, provided said commander has proven his or her worth. Her level of maturity in comparison to the other characters is somewhat questionable; she seems to be the child the others could not be, yet possessing a sort of worldly maturity and superficial intelligence that most other characters lack, as well as a sort of 'nature winning against nurture' mentality, as opposed to most other characters. She's the "light that stands out from the darkness"
