This project seeks to accomplish the following: 1. Increase stream bed elevations such that historic floodplains and side channels are re-occupied. 2. Improve in-channel pool quality and frequency. 3. Promote a change in streamside vegetation to riparian and wetland dominant species, rather than existing upland species. 4. Locally increase groundwater storage in adjacent valley alluvium to provide additional water for late summer streamflow.
