What is MAC's Got Talent? (General Talent Show also accepted).
MAC offers two in-class language courses, French and this language spoken mainly in Latin America and parts of Europe.

Jason Strudwick, a player for this local hockey team, achieved honours when he attended MAC in the 2000's.
Who are the Edmonton Oilers?
John Hugh MacDonald was a leader and activist here in Edmonton and serves as the namesake for the school. In 1938, he was appointed this Catholic position which also lends its name to the school.
What is Archbishop?
MAC offers one of these every Tuesday, one hour where students chose their activity based on what they need that week. Formerly, one was also offered on Friday.
What is a PLT? (Personal Learning Time)
Both a club and an option class, MAC excels at this extra-circular activity which involves structured, competitive arguing and original writing.

If you're interested in the technical background of movies, take this class and you'll study classics such as La La Land, Mad Max Fury Road, and Singing in the Rain!

Tim Feehan, a 1975 graduate, become a songwriter who frequently collaborated with this singer, most well known for "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" and "I Will Always Love You".

Students struggling with mathematical functions are in luck because Mr. Pryma, a math teacher here at MAC, has created this kind of online audio show about math to help you out.
What is a podcast?
Interested in music but particularly if its improvised and lively? MAC offers this kind of band just for that.
What is a Jazz Band?
For any students interested in entrepreneurship, you can take this class with Mr. Rosselli to study finances and create your own pitches.
What is Business?
Bill LaForge, graduating from MAC in 1969, went on to become an NHL coach for this Canadian hockey team to the west of the Oilers.
Who are the Vancouver Canucks?
Due to the popularity and academic aspects of the school, MAC is the only Catholic school in Edmonton with this kind of admissions process.

MAC's classrooms include four of these, attachments to the buildings to provide extra space for classes.

MAC may not offer this popular American sport at our school, however MAC students are still able to play as part of FX high school's team.

Belinda Metz, who graduated from MAC in 1978, was a guest actress on the TV series version of this popular horror franchise surrounding Jason Voorhees.

MAC was founded in this year. Other notable events from this year include; The first ever super bowl, 100 years of Canadian confederation, and the release of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles.

Due to the curious blackouts which happen occasionally at MAC, students have created the story of Jason, this kind of spooky figure which haunts our halls.
What is a Ghost?
The 2024/2025 MAC school show is this musical, a stage version of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Full IB students will find themselves also taking this self directed class, which involves writing a 4,000 word paper on a personally chosen piece of research.
What is extended essay?
Keith Krause, who attended MAC in the 1980's, went on to win this prestigious scholarship award granted to postgraduate students to study at the University of Oxford.
What is the Rhodes Scholarship?
MAC has a long standing history with this downtown Catholic Church, hosting Christmas and Easter masses for the school, and which is also famous for playing host to Wayne Gretzky for his wedding.
What is St. Joseph's Basilica?
The marauder mascot for MAC is named this, a Gaelic name meaning "Dark". This name is also prominently featured in Shakespeare's Macbeth.
