All children, including infants, are expected to have this type of play every day, except in certain conditions.
Outdoor Play
Children prescribed with this life saving item must have it at the centre every day with them. It must follow them throughout the centre.

Attendance, White Board, Children's Lists
This code is called in the event of a violent or aggressive person within the building.
Code White (Lockdown)
A licensee who operates a child care centre shall ensure staff to child caregiving is being met at all times. These are the number of children for whom each child care staff member is responsible for supervising.
Ratios
This is policy used by all staff to ensure the safety of children in our centre and promotes a safe environment and prevents injuries in young children.
Active Supervision
Parents are asked to tell staff when someone else will pick up their child. This process is done when someone unknown has arrived to pick up the child.
Check ID
This code is called when an emergency or threat is identified outside of the clinic.
Shelter in Place
Where a person has information that leads the person reasonably to believe that a child is or might be in need of protection, the person shall forthwith report the information to an agency.
Child Abuse Reporting
Policy: The children of Anne Ross Day Nursery are guided through positive reinforcements. The infants and children are provided the words to problem solve and interact with their peers in a safe and nurturing environment.
Behaviour Management Policy
This is our Primary Place of Shelter in the event we must evacuate and seek shelter.

These items are located in areas accessible for independent selection by children & are available in a quantity and variety to occupy all children in attendance
Toys/Play Equipment
Policy: Children and adults are not allowed to put photos, audio or video recordings or information about the children, the children’s families or staff on their cell phone, electronic device or the Internet without the person’s (or parent’s) written permission.

Code Red
Staff sit with children during these times to help create relaxing and enjoyable experiences. These times of day is not rushed. Children can practice feeding themselves and can actively be involved in cleaning and setting the table.

Employees, Children, Parents, and all others involved with our centre are expected to behave in a respectful manner and comply with this document.
Code of Conduct
This is done during transitions from inside to outside, upstairs to downstairs, when children arrive/depart, throughout the day, and in the event of an emergency evacuation.
