Describe the process of Orographic Lifting
When wind blows towards a mountain, it has nowhere to go but up since a mountain is the way. As the air gains altitude, it also gets colder to the point where it loses some of its moisture by creating clouds, making the windward side moist and humid. Once the almost moistureless air gets over the mountain, it doesn't have much moisture for the other side, creating a warm, arid climate on the other side
