OFDA only applies to who?

Rated members (except Flight Surgeons)

OFDA is commonly referred to as “gate months.” When a rated officer fails to meet gate requirements, Continuous Aviation Incentive Pay (AvIP) is terminated and member is placed in conditional status, and must meet minimum monthly requirements to receive aviation incentive pay for Conditional AvIP

Continuous AvIP is based on meeting required OFDA at their 12th and 18th year (think, “gate months”) of aviation service. (See Entitlement Status Code flowchart).

This is requested monthly for all conditional flyers assigned, and assists the HARM office with processing pay actions for conditional flyers. The report will apply rules for pay and identify if the member has met minimum flight requirements to receive aviation incentive pay. This information should be confirmed with a 1520 and member’s IFR. For units managing ARC pay this report will not pull those members ARC pay is managed using the ASC conditional Entitlement flying hours.
