Students put name and teacher code on paper

Students give thumbs up, middle or down at the end of class

Music begins playing "Yo, Yo, Hear we go!"
How do students know that it is time to clean up?
Students are kind, polite and helpful
What is the first Art Rule?
Students put their hands in their laps, voices are off, eyes are on the speaker
What do students do when I say "Mona Lisa"
Students select a choice from center choices and select the appropriate color
How do students fill out their center tracker?
Students say "Go", they continue working, give a thumbs up and listen for instruction
What do students do when I say "Van"?
Students stand up and walk around the room, cleaning up anything that needs to be cleaned up.
What do students do when they hear the cleanup rap?
Red means silent, Yellow means table talk and Green means group discussion, with one person speaking loud and proud.
How does the Blabber Brush work?
Students sit at assigned table, without moving stools, look at sub, put their thumbs in the air with voices off.
How do students earn a point for entering silently on art smart?
Students get a basket and collect their materials
What do students do when I say "Go Shopping"
Mrs. robARTs walks over to a student and quietly gives a warning
What happens when you break an art rule once?
The substitute teacher asks the class to judge how they did in 7 different areas.

Students are in control of body and voice

After making a center choice students sit next to friends and work on their artwork
When can students choose their own seats?
Students select 5 items while "shopping"
How many items can a student go shopping for?
Student sits in timeout for 15 minutes. They listen and do artwork while they are in timeout
What is the consequence when a student breaks 2 rules?
3 students continue finishing cleaning the art room while the rest of the class does Art Smart
Who are Art Room Helpers?
A signal is given and students stop, look and listen. They follow directions

Use an eraser, flip your paper over, create something new
What can you do if you feel like you made a mistake?
One large paper or 2 small papers.
How many pieces of paper can you use during an art class?
Student is given a letter to take home and planning room is notified.
What is the consequence of a student breaking art rules on 3 occasions?
Mrs. robARTs hands a ticket to 3 - 5 students that have had a terrific art class.
What are Art Golden Tickets"
Students are using materials appropriately. They never throw, rip or damage things.
