What would be an example of being disrespectful to a classmate?
Talking while they are talking.
Hurting them physically.
Damaging their artwork.
Saying mean things to each other.
What is a quiet touchdown?
Quietly putting one's head down on their desk with their feet flat on the floor and their bottoms in the seat.
How many people can be in the bathroom at a time?
1 Person at a time
We only meet once a week for art. Only ask to use the restroom if it is an emergency.

Sometimes, usually only 2 but can earn more on a chance space.

What does it mean to be respectful to the art supplies?
Using the art supplies how you are supposed to use them. Not breaking the supplies. Not stealing the supplies.
At the end of the class, we will spend time......
Cleaning up the art room, putting supplies away, doing a quiet touchdown, then lining up quietly.
When using the Ipads.....
A.) Find the number that is my classroom number.

What does it mean to be respectful to yourself?
Not saying mean things to yourself. Not hurting yourself. Encouraging yourself.
Do not say "I can't do something".
Can't is a bad word. (Not really, but really)
If there are materials on the table you should....
A.) Gather the materials that you need right away.
B.) Leave them alone until directed what to do with them.

How much time do we have per class to get ready, learn, clean up, and go?
We only have 50 minutes to accomplish all of these things.
This is why we need to make sure that we are doing what is expected of us.
What happens when we land on a free-day, corner space on the board?
We get to have a free day. We might have an extra recess. We can use ipads, watch a movie, sit where we would like, etc.
Why is it important to not talk while the teacher is talking, especially in the art room?
If you talk while the teacher is talking you can miss important instruction. You will not know what to do.
What does the term mutual respect mean?
If you are respectful to someone they are then respectful to you.
If you show Mr. Hartz respect, Mr. Hartz will respect you back.

They represent where you sit in the classroom.
They help us organize the classroom.

When should you sharpen a pencil or get supplies?
When should you not sharpen a pencil or get supplies?
How many pencils can you sharpen at a time? Why?
Wait until work time to sharpen a pencil or get supplies.
Do not do this during instruction!!
1 Pencil at a time, do not take a hand full of pencils to the sharpener and hog it.
What happens if we land on a community chest/ chance space?
We decide on a class to draw or not draw a mystery prompt. We have the chance to gain or lose spaces on art land.
