Responsible for developing an agenda before each Chapter meeting. Receives all chair reports. Presides over weekly open and closed meetings. Responsible for enforcing the National and Chapter governing documents as well as any applicable University rules and regulations. Acts as a resource for committee chairs and other sisters. Plays an active role in assisting in the planning and conducting of chapter ceremonies, including conducting candidate and initiation interviews.  Oversees the EC meetings.  Active Chapter National Delegate as well as the Chapter Representative when dealing with Chapter publicity.  Responsible for ensuring distribution of the bi-annual chapter report to the National Board and their respective Alumnae Chapter.

Organizes, schedules, and keeps a record of all chapter rituals.  The Vice President of Operations assumes the duties of the President in her absence.  Responsible for controlling conduct in weekly meetings. Responsible for enforcing the National and Chapter governing documents as well as any applicable University rules and regulations. Unbiased mediator in the event of a chapter problem or a disagreement between sisters. Responsible for facilitation of Eta Chapter By-Laws edits. Coordinates Officer Training after every election.

Responsible for keeping all financial records for the chapter and oversees the Fundraising Chair Holder. Collects and evaluates chair budgets, assisting with revisions as necessary. Responsible for collecting monies and providing budgeted reimbursements. Responsible for Chapter tax documents. Responsible for collecting and recording dues/insurance, issuing any fines as necessary as outlined in the Financial Policy.

Stages of founding a chapter

Records and distributes weekly meeting minutes. Keep records of new Alumnae who wish to continue to receive contact from the Active Chapter.  Active Chapter’s liaison with the Alumnae Members. Invites Alumnae to events and keeps them informed of the Active Chapter events.  Manages incoming member biographies and distributes them when necessary. Keeps the member and attendance records of the Active Chapter, as well as attendance records of any rituals held.  Records the members, the dates of each candidate and initiation class, and the officers of each term.  Assists the President with any correspondence. Maintains the Chapter calendar of events (Google Calendar or Discord).

They  shall plan and organize events for recruiting potential candidates.  Shall be responsible for working with the Risk Management chair to ensure all individuals attending events are aware of the chapter’s Risk Management Policy.

Shall be responsible for instructing the candidates in the national and local history, traditions, constitution, by-laws, and policies of Alpha Sigma Kappa – Women in Technical Studies. Shall lead the weekly candidate meeting.  Will administer the Candidate exam, assist with the Initiation interviews and confirm to the chapter that the Candidate class has completed all requirements for their initiation.
