Definitions

Complainant
This person may advise their advisee through out the disciplinary process in any manner, including providing questions, suggestions, and guidance on responses to any questions posed to the advisee, but shall not participate directly during the investigation or hearing process.
Advisor
Includes but is not limited to, any physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature. Any violence, physical abuse, injury, or physical harm of another person.

Expulsion
This office is commissioned with the task of detailing the rights and responsibilities of students, adjudicating matters when necessary, imposing sanctions for violations in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
The Office of Student Conduct
Refers to the physical and/or mental inability to make informed, rational judgments. It can result from mental disability, sleep, involuntary physical restraint, status as a minor under the age of 16, or from intentional or unintentional taking of alcohol and/or other drugs.
Incapacitation
Students have the right to do this except when the student’s presence would create a clear and present danger to others, self, or material interference with the normal operation an processes or the requirements of appropriate discipline at the University.

According to Georgia House Bill 280, these are not allowed in residence halls, administrative offices, at athletic events, facilities used for preschool or childcare, rooms/spaces where there are high school students enrolled, or when spaces are being used or disciplinary proceedings.
