To reward safe, respectful, and responsible behavior. Any grown-up in the school can give you a cheetah paw.

What is our morning routine?

Our morning routine: 

- Line-up outside. Walk in at 8:45

- Hang up backpacks jackets

- Lunch box goes on the lunch cart (+library books if library day)

- School-home folders goes in the red bin

- Start your "Get Ready!" work

If you are just a couple minutes late after the 8:45 bell, write your name in the binder in the foyer. If you come really late, go to the office.

Teachers place all cheetah paws into the big bowl in the office. Ms. Lily pulls one cheetah paw from each class, and that students wins a prize!

The lost and found near the front doors. Have a grown-up walk you to it once they pick you up.

Stay seated with feet forward, stay in 1 spot, raise hand to get out of seat, take only what you want to eat, etc.

On the upper playground, the buddy bench is a place you can sit if you are looking for someone to play with. If you see someone sitting on the bench, it is really kind to go up to them and invite them to play with you.

On the shelves by the window.

What do you do when your grown-up needs to pick you up from school early?

Wait until the secretary calls our classroom telling Miss Bitzer that your grown-up is here. Then, put your folder in your backpack and bring all your belongings with you down to the office.

How can we be safe in the bathrooms? 

Go-flush-wash-leave!
wash your hands, keep water off the floor, only use the amount of toilet paper/paper towels that you need, leave the stall unlocked once you leave, do not turn it into a party and stay to chat with friends.

 (*Sound echoes off the bathroom walls and it's REALLY loud and the classrooms near the bathroom can hear you*)

How can you be respectful with the school supplies? (Pencils, glue sticks, dry-erase markers, scissors)

Pencils- leave pencil shavings in sharpener and empty out in trash can

Glue sticks- Make sure cap is on tight, do not place an old glue stick in the new glue stick bin (throw it away). Make sure no glue gets on the table

Dry-erase markers- Cap on tight (listen for the "click"!), be gentle with the marker tip and the eraser else they will break

Scissors- Only use them when teacher says. when walking, hold the blade part down and cover it with your fist. The finger holes are on top.

Who is our school nurse? What do you do when you need to pay her a visit?

Ms. Vanisha. Tell a teacher nearby of the problem. After your teacher hands you a hall pass, walk down to the nurse whose room is in the office. Bring the hall pass back with you when you return to the classroom. If the nurse decides you should go home, a buddy will bring your belongings down to the office while you will wait there for your grown-up to take you home.
