List the layers of the atmosphere in order AND their altitude
Ex: Troposphere (0km-?)

Troposphere (0-12km), Stratosphere (12-50km), Mesosphere (50-80km), Thermosphere (80-120+km)

If Carlos is at an altitude of 1000m, Ryan is at an altitude of 1500m, and Hawa is at an altitude of 1100m, who is experiencing more air pressure?

Explain your answer.

Carlos

The higher in altitude, the lower the air pressure. Since Carlos is at the lowest altitude of all 3, he is experiencing the most air pressure.

You are baking a cake in an oven, then decide to put in the microwave, and then place it on the warm stove.

What types of heat transfer (in the correct order) happened in the process?

Convection, Radiation, Conduction

Explain how weather happens using Radiation, Conduction, and Convection.

The Sun’s energy travels to Earth through radiation and warms the land. The warm surface heats the air touching it through conduction. This warm air rises and cool air sinks, creating convection, which moves heat around and helps create weather.

Hurricanes and Typhoons are the same type of storm but they are called 2 different names.
Why?

It depends on where they are located.
Hurricanes-Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean
Typhoons-Northwest Pacific Ocean
