What does "habitually truant" mean?
A student who has 5 or more unexcused absences from school.
When a student has repeated unexcused absences, the school may schedule this to help solve the problem.
An attendance or intervention meeting aka a CUTS Meeting.
How many days can you be absent before holding a meeting with your parent, Ms. Michaela & Ms. Massey?
14 days, at 15 days this meeting is scheduled.
Unable to be picked up due to a family member's doctor's appointment is considered this.
Unexcused. You can only be excused for your own appointments.
Setting an alarm and going to bed on time helps prevent this attendance problem.

What does "excessive absences" mean?
A student that is absent more than 10% of the school year (18 days).
What are the consequences for being "habitually truant"?
required attendance of the parent and child at an education class, community service hours, counseling & a $50 fine.

18 days, on the 19th day, you and your parent will meet with the JPO.
Having cramps from being on your period is considered this.
