External Traffic:
Emergency vehicles will access the Emergency Department via Cloverdale Avenue and deliver patients at?
The “trauma door” entrance.
Medical Center Security Services is staffed by non-commissioned security personnel who do not have what authority?
Statutory Authority to conduct criminal investigations nor effect arrests.
What is the priority when responding to a radiation alarm, and how should an officer respond?
Priority One Alarm.
Personnel will immediately respond to all alarms originating from radiation source areas. Responding personnel should remain mindful that sources can be successfully removed from devices and concealed to enable removal without detection.
Security Personnel will inform staff of the Badge Failure as well as the loss of what alarms?
Panic Alarms.
In the event the main radio console is affected by power outage, ECC personnel will announce to all personnel that power has been lost and radio traffic should be limited to only what?
Critical Traffic Only.
No building checks, escorts etc. Only emergencies or critical incidents. i.e. combative patient, medical emergencies, Psych Patient involved calls.
Non-Emergency vehicles bringing patients to the emergency department may be allowed to drive to?
Emergency Department public entrance for patient drop off.
Medical Center Security personnel do not have arrest powers but may?
Detain persons for offenses occurring in their presence to include felony crimes, a breach of the peace, crimes involving physical injury, and crimes involving theft or destruction of property. Law Enforcement must be notified if a person is detained. A Use of Force Report along with incident report is required for this type of incident.
Who responds if theft in progress is suspected.
TRIP members, and Law Enforcement notification.
Access to Nursing Units medicine rooms/cabinets typically controlled by the badge access system will be controlled by?
Unit Manager or Representative.
Security personnel may provide access assistance only with the direct approval of the unit manager. (ECC personnel will record the approving/requesting manager in ECOMM.)
Power Outages exceeding a single floor or unit will prompt notification to?
Engineering, Security Administration
Physicians and employees will utilize what parking areas?
Regularly assigned parking lots. * The ED Dock will be used for Emergency Vehicles Only.

Who should be notified about badge failure?
Administrator On-Call, Risk Management Investigator, and the Security Systems Manager/Security Administration.
*If determined the outage will require the opening of the Incident Command Center, EH&S will also be notified.
Security personnel will verify functional landing lights at the helipad during power outages. Should power loss affect nighttime lighting at the helipad, who should be notified.
ECC will notify AirCare of the outage.
Who may be directed to the North Tower Lobby or designated waiting areas on patient floors.
Family members
Security Services personnel will maintain a cooperative, collaborative, and supportive relationship with what type of agencies?
Local and Regional Law Enforcement Agencies. When a police report is required or requested, Security Services will assist involved parties or victims in contacting and reporting incidents to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
