It's Art time!!! This is how we enter the Art room.
Get sanitizer, walk in quietly and go to your seat. Swap out any pencils that are broken as soon as you get to your table and before Mrs. Shah gives directions.
When is a good time to ask to shop?
I can shop during work time if I have points, while Mrs. Shah isn't busy helping someone.
This is the only time you can yell for or run up to Mrs. Shah

Mrs. Shah will call the tables That are ready and cleaned up to line up. Tables are ready when everything is put away, messes are cleaned up, and there are 4 pencils and 2 erasers in the middle with everyone sitting down. Walk to the line and stand quietly.

Let Mrs. Shah know what is wrong, and she can write you a pass to the nurse.

Grab a towel by the sinks, squeeze it out, wipe up the mess, and put the towel back by the sinks.

In this emergency drill we will evacuate (leave) the Art room through the courtyard door, and quickly and quietly go to the bus parking lot. We will wait out there until the all clear is called.

I can find a ruler here. I can use a ruler for any project I'd like. Remember a ruler is a tool, not a toy.

I finished my project early, and I totally rocked it by the way. Now what do I do?
You can free draw, read a book, do a job to help Mrs. Shah.

This emergency drill has us leave the classroom and go into the hallway by the office. We will duck and cover quietly until the all clear is called.
Tornado/Weather drill
Oh no, my pencil broke!!! What do I do?
Swap it out for a new one to the left of the sink. Put the broken one in the blue cup and get a new one from the red cup.
This is the correct way to put projects into the drying rack.
Use the same drying rack as the rest of the class. Load it from the bottom to the top. If you want me to know you were done first, you want to put it as low down as possible!!!
What can you see Mrs. Shah doing every morning in the hallway while on duty?

This is how many points I will receive for finishing my project, completely rocking it, and trying my best. You won't get this many if you don't finish the project or don't follow directions.

This emergency drill has us lock and barricade the doors, cover the windows, and hide quietly until the all clear is called. We could also evacuate to safety.
