Describe what to do if a resident claims they are missing a package.
What is have them double check their mailbox, search the packages behind the desk in case of mislabeling (granted the desk is not busy), have the resident email their tracking info to the ARD who supervises the desk, call the other desks and have them check their ICM/FWD/RTS bins, take down the necessary info (carrier, size) and put the description in the talk log so everyone can be on the lookout!

What should you have done before calling the COM?
What is contact your staff, touch base with your COM, ask the other desks to call through their rosters, contact your friends who work other desks and ask them personally...EXHAUST EVERY AVENUE. If the COM asks and you have not completed one of these tasks, she does not need to help you yet! There is to be no more passing off of shifts that you just don't feel like working that day. If you've signed up for a shift, you are expected to work it unless you given plenty of notice. Also, if you pick up a shift from either your desk or another and suddenly can't work it, YOU are expected to get it covered. Not the original owner of the shift.
