When I am in this zone, I am so SO MAD.
I FEEL ANGRY. FURIOUS.
This is when I need to take a break and use one of my strategies to reset.

You use it to write.
What is a pencil?
I am the Head of School at Stanbridge. I make sure our school runs smoothly for the students, teachers, and staff.
I make very important decisions so that Stanbridge is a great place to learn and have fun.
Who is Julie Smith?
I am one of the Middle School teachers.
In class, we read stories together, write about different topics, act out skits, practice writing complete sentences using proper grammar, and play Kahoot.
I love animals. My dog's name is Biggie. I talk about him a lot. I also used to be one of the San Francisco shuttle drivers.
Who is Liz?
In class, we sing songs and learn how to play various instruments such as the ukelele, guitar, and drums. Last year, I organized our annual Spring Sing concert where the entire Stanbridge community joined together to watch each division perform.
Last year, I was the DJ for the Halloween carnival and the High School prom.
I also write my own songs and create music videos.

When I am in this zone, I feel focused.

You use this to cut paper.
What are scissors?
We are the 2 counselors at Stanbridge.
You can come and talk to us about anything if you need help or someone to talk to.
Our offices were next to the Quiet Room & The Reflection Room. dun dun DUN!
One of us led the Stanbucks Store, STAR Team, and 4-square games during recess.
Who are James and Mary?
I am one of the Middle School teachers.
In class, we work with numbers in many different ways.
Order of operations, multiplication, division, fractions......
I also used to run the after school Chess Club and one of my hobbies is Ultimate Frisbee.
Who is Daniel?
In class, we did many different forms of physical activities to keep our mind and bodies active. We learn the importance of working together as a team through exercises like sports, yoga, games, and running laps around the school.
Many students and teachers think I'm funny because I like playing practical jokes. I also used to be the South Bay shuttle driver.
Who is Jeff?
When I am in this zone, I feel a little bit off.
I feel extra squirmy. I just can't sit still. When my teacher is talking, I'm trying to listen, but I am too distracted.
What is the Yellow Zone?
Teachers and students use this on the computer to meet for virtual/distance learning. We are using it now.
What is Zoom?
In class, we do many exciting and cool art projects.
Drawing, painting, cutting, sculpting, creating,...
I also ran our school's Yearbook Club!
Who is Camille?
I am one of the Middle School teachers.
In class, we learn about the physical and natural properties about the world through observing, predicting, collecting data, and doing super fun experiments and projects like creating/building marble coasters, egg cars, and bridges.
I run the after school D&D club. I also have cockroaches and 2 cats.
Who is Tasha?
I am the handyman at Stanbridge!
Before Distance Learning, you could find me on campus doing all sorts of handy work with my tools. (painting, building, fixing)
I always have my tool belt on me to be ready for anything needing repairing or fixing!

I don't have the energy to do much.
What is the Blue Zone?
In a Zoom meeting/class, this is the button you should click if you are not speaking to the class and so that others can't hear you.
It also blocks out background noises so it won't distract and annoy others.
What is the mute button?
I am the Speech-Language Specialist at Stanbridge.
I also teach Social Learning and provide all kinds of support to the students.
Who is Tricia?
I am one of the Middle School teachers. I am also involved with helping Julie and other team leaders make important decisions to ensure our school is awesome and a great place to learn.
In class, we read, write, and discuss current events from Newsela, learn about historical events and people from the past such as the Aztecs and The Great Wall of China.
I used to run the after school Cross Country Club. I also have a dog. His name is Indy-short for Indiana Jones.
Who is Genevieve?
I have many different roles and responsibilities at school. Need a snack? Meds? Bandaid? A buddy to talk to? You can usually find me in the front office. One of the hundreds of things I do at school is making sure our school stays organized- school supplies, paperwork, attendance.
I also had pet dogs, cats, mice, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, and a goldfish named Goldy.

At Stanbridge, the teachers encourage us to use these as a strategy to help us feel calm, focused and self-regulated.
It comes in different shapes and sizes, but it typically fits in the palm of your hand- play dough, squishy, soft, stretchy, bendable

I am the Stanbridge school mascot.
Before Distance Learning, sometimes I would make a guest appearance at our traditional Staff vs. Student basketball games to cheer everyone on!
I like to spread school spirit.
Who/What is the Bulldog?
In class we learned how to use different features on the Chromebooks and did all sorts of cool projects through the computer.
I also play a big role in our school such as helping the teachers and staff with any computer-related issues, making sure things like emails, passwords, and anything with technology runs smoothly for us.

I am the Learning Specialist.
I provide one-on-one help to students with class assignments.
I am also in charge of helping teachers and students with the STAR 360 test for Language Arts and Math.
