Why do we have rules in school?
Rules keep us safe and help the classroom run smoothly. Everyone deserves the chance to learn without disruption.
What do you need to bring to reading class everyday?
Your computer....charged, and a pencil.
How should I line up
Hands to our side....so we do not hurt anyone
Facing forward....so we do not crash into anyone
Silently....so we do not disrupt others
What should you remember to do with your supplies and other classroom things, such as toys?
Keep all of your personal items in your backpack.
When can you get out of your seat?
When you raise your hand and the teacher lets your leave.
What happens the first time you choose to break a rule?
You will receive a warning. This give you time to think about your behavior and why it is important to follow the rules.
Why should you not talk during reading class?
You may be disrupting others from trying to listen and learn.
What should I do if I see someone I know in the hall way
Wave and smile without talking
What are the signals for bathroom, water and "I have a question?"

Study your spelling and vocabulary words for the week.

Throw away your trash and sit silently.

Where do I turn in Finished Assignments?
In the baskets in the front of the classroom. Please place them in the basket labeled with your homeroom teacher´s name.
What happens the third time you break a rule?
Phone call home to your parents - your behavior affects others in the classroom. We need to keep everyone safe!
What should you do if you do not understand something we are learning in class?
Raise your hand to ask for help, or write a note and put it in my mailbox on my desk. I can´t help you if I don´t know you need help!
How do you know that it is quiet time in the cafeteria?
A teacher will announce you have five minutes left.
In school, what do we do with our hands and feet?
Keep Hands and Feet to yourself so we do not hurt others.
When switching classes or returning from lunch, special, or recess, how do we enter the class?
Voices off so we respect the students and teachers in first grade!
