This subject is changing a little bit with the nationally adopted curriculum - Common Core. We are not exactly going in the right order of the book. We are adding things, not eliminating.

It is important to write legibly and correctly because students get a grade in this. We have workbook that we practice in.
What is penmanship or handwriting?
The amount of time students should at least continuously read each day.

Days students have Science with Ms. Hale? They usually have homework on those days and it is due the following day.

The big presentation for Social Studies where students get to play a character, dress up for parts, and learn a lot about this particular time era.

This is one of the ways students are rewarded for good behavior, for doing their homework, and being a great student! They earn fifth grade dollars.

The English grade consists of writing, grammar, and homework, this is the percentage of grammar.

What are Tuesdays and Thursdays?
Every Tuesdays, the oldest child in the family receives this. It's important to look at these materials and return the envelope the following day.
