What is the first thing you should do when you walk into the room in the morning?
What days are ball days?
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
How can my teacher tell if I am listening to the lesson?
I can be tracking the teacher with my eyes and ears.
How should you line up to go walking in the hallway?
I should walk quietly to my line up spot, face the door and have my hands to my self.

I should walk in a line all the way to PE without running
What should you do with your folder on Monday mornings?
Change out your homework, new spelling and math practice.
If there is a problem of the playground, what should I do?
I should tell the person that you don't like what is happening first, then tell a teacher if it continues. (DO NOT wait until the end of recess to tell a teacher.)
What should you do if you need a new pencil in the middle of a lesson?
Put the unsharpened pencil in the "unsharpened" bucket and pick out a new pencil from the "sharpened" bucket.
What does it look like and sound like to walk successfully in the hallway?
Classroom
stop, have a still body, and listen for the next directions
What should it look like and sound like as you are moving around the room / working at your seat in the mornings?
You should be quiet and you should be on task.
How should we pick teams for kickball?
There will be two captains. The same person will not be captain multiple times in a row. Girls and boys both have the chance to be captains. We will use voices that are respectful to teach other.
How should I move to and from the carpet?
You should move quickly and quietly without chatting with your neighbor.
It should be quiet in the hallway. I should also not slam my locker shut. Once I have my backpack, I immediately come back in the room.
Morning Meeting
You should walk to each corner without talking and smiling even if I get out. I should also be quiet on the carpet while waiting for the game to end.
If I have a question in the morning, what should I do to ask that question?

How should I exit the lunch room?
I should be listening for my teacher to be called, line up in my line order and make a quiet choice to exit the lunch room into the hallway.
I should raise my hand, wait for the teacher to call on me and respectfully ask my question.
What does it look like and sound like to be successful at lower school and middle school hook-up?
I will walk behind the teacher to hook-up, I will find a spot to sit for hook-up. When names are being called I will not be talking.
I should keep my body behind my privacy board, not talk and when I am done put my test in the grade drawer.
What should I do with my homework (math and spelling) from the night before when I enter the classroom in the morning on Tuesday - Thursday and on Friday?
What should you do when you are done eating your lunch? (Be specific - what does this look like and sound like?)
I should pick up my tray, walk to the trash can without stopping at another table, dump my trash and then walk back to my table without stopping at another table.
What does collaborative group work look like and sound like during a math Engage?
I will be working in a group, the person with the marker will write and not do the thinking. The other member(s) of the group will tell the person with the marker what to write. We will talk in a tone that agrees and disagrees with one another respectfully.
Why should I not talk in the hallway?
You should not talk in the hallway so we can be respectful to other classes that are trying to learn. I do not want to take away from other student's opportunity to learn.

I should let the teacher say the word, I should repeat the word, pound or tap each sound in the word, repeat the word again, write the word, wait for Mrs. Cowden to correctly write the word and then I can rewrite the word.
