What is the process of transferring a client to WISE?
1. Ask your supervisor if they think they would be a good fit for wise.
2. Fill out transfer request
3. Wait for confirmation of approval/denial
4. Complete transition request once transfer is accepted
How soon after I take a referral from my FRA, do I have to contact the potential client?
Once you accept the referral you have 3 DAYS to reach out to the client.
*Please be mindful of accepting referrals on Fridays, or right before school breaks or PTO.*
An 11 year old discloses current sexual abuse and begs you not to call CPS due to fears of getting in trouble for reporting it. What do you do?
-Ethically you have to report it to CPS. You can also create a safety plan, and help identify safe people the client can connect with.
While at your school a teacher asks you about one of your clients. They say "She has been more quiet lately and seems depressed. I know she has lots of stuff going on at home but I wish she would open up to me so I could help her. Can you tell me what you and her talk about? You know this client only has an ROI for attendance and participation verification. How should you reply to the teacher?
-Assert that you follow HIPAA and can't share what is discussed in session/what is going on with her and the family

False. After Medicad, you should look to see if private insurance is an option, ASO, Verdant grant, and then utilize SNOCO as a last resource. There is a limited number of SNOCO slots available, so you need to check with Jamie and Lilly first.
During an assessment, a parent tells you that their teenage son has frequently said "I want to die" and self-harms but they think the student isn't serious and just wants attention. How should you handle it?
-Ask more questions about frequency and context of comments and self harm.
