Why do Claims pre 2010 get assessed via the Te Ara Hou calculator?

Eos only is able to apply the legislation applicable to the 2010 act. For all others we need to use the Te Ara Hou calculator where we can choose retrospective Acts.

You should also consider opting the employer out when the following situations apply:

• the client has received a MSD reimbursement

• the client is receiving a Section 60 permanent incapacity payment

• the claim is backdated and/or the employment has been terminated

• there may be other complex situations which means it is too difficult to administer the weekly compensation as ERA.
