False: Practicing hijab includes so much more than covering. Firstly, the covering should be loose. Second, things like wearing make up and excessive jewelry go against practicing hijab. Thirdly, hijab includes our behavior and how we carry ourselves.
We use this because the Prophet (saws) did his sujood on natural materials only.
What is a turbah/sijdagah?
Not showing off, not calling attention to yourself, being unassuming about your physical appearance and your abilities.
What is modesty?
Men and women can do this activity together, as it strengthens unity and helps communities progress together. Women can either join on the left or behind.
What is jamaat prayers?
The 13th, 14th, and 15th of any month, any day of Rajab and Sha'ban, Yawm al Arafah, and Eid Ghadeer.
What are some days on which it is recommended to fast?
True or false: If I become too tired, too hot, too scared, or too uncomfortable, I can remove my hijab, at least for a short time, at least while I'm 9 or 10, because Allah swt is merciful.
False: Hijab should be worn so long as you are in a place where non-mahrams could see you. Sometimes it's tough, but Allah swt sees you and rewards you for any difficulty, and makes you into a beautiful person from it. Plus, there's some ways to make it easier for yourself :)
If water is not accessible, is needed for drinking, or is dangerous, a person can do this instead of wudhu'. (There are a few other reasons why this would be valid, too).
What is tayammum?
We mourn the way her modesty was not respected by non-mahram, the way she was compelled to speak in front of sinful non-mahram men, and the way she was made to walk amongst the people in a way completely opposite to how her father treated her.
Who is Syeda Zainab (a)?
There was a blind man who asked for permission to enter this holy lady's house, but she kept a veil between them. The Holy Prophet (S) noticed this and asked, “Why did you keep a veil between you and him when he cannot see you?" She answered by saying, “O Messenger of Allah (SWT), it is true that he cannot see me, but I can see him, and he can smell my fragrance.”
Who is Syeda Fatima (a)?
Regarding this beautiful prayer, Imam as-Sadiq (a) has said that it "brightens the faces, makes the night pleasant, and attracts sustenance" and Rasoolullah (saws) has said "Whoever has been granted the chance to recite [it]... [who] rises for Allah sincerely, does proper wudhu, prays salaat for Allah with a true intention, a sound heart, a humble body and a tearful eye, Allah will place behind him nine rows of angels. The number of angels in each row cannot be counted except by Allah. One side of each row is in the East, and the other is in the West. Then when he completes his prayer, he gets the reward of all of the angels in the rows."
