What is the full treatment for a nose bleed?
The Lifeguard Should... Introduce themselves and ask to treat, Put on gloves, Have the patient sit up straight with their head tilted FORWARD, Pinch the bridge of the nose until bleeding stops, Ask if they have nosebleeds often, and how long a typical nosebleed lasts If you're not confident they can pinch their nose on their own (aka they're under the age of like 18), do it for them. After nosebleed lasts 5-10 minutes without slowing down, activate EMS.
