How do you upload a document to SharePoint?

1. Open the SharePoint site library.

2. Select Upload at the top of the documents library. 

3. In the Add a document dialog box, you can select Browse to upload an individual file. Depending on the version of SharePoint you're using, you may also be able to upload multiple files by holding down either the CTRL or Shift key, and selecting more than one file.

4. When you've selected the file or files to upload, select OK.

How do you link a document?

Go to the page you want to edit. 

  1. Click on “Edit Page” on header bar.

  2. To link a document:

    1. Click on “Add Media” button

    2. Go to the “Upload Files” tab

    3. Add your document. (Slide or search)

    4. From here you have two options:

      1. “Insert into page” or copy the URL

    5. Close the “Add Media” window.

  3. Back on the page you are editing, you may rename the document you just inserted or paste the URL by clicking on the paperclip icon.

    1. Rename the document by highlighting it and typing new name.

    2. Or, you may paste the URL by highlighting the text in the cell and clicking on the paperclip icon.

  4. You may “Preview Changes” by clicking the button by that name.

  5. Click the “Update” button to save changes.
